A Collection is no longer only transient app state or a server-backed Journey. In myPromenade 3.1 it can also become a portable artifact that you own, save, reopen, and send.
Shared exploration can mean carrying your work with you, inviting someone to reopen it later, or walking through it together now. myPromenade keeps those mechanisms distinct so each one has a clear purpose.
The .myprocollection document matters because the result of your work can live as a file under your control. Save it on a device, reopen it in myPromenade, or send it using Apple’s normal document-sharing mechanisms. This page does not claim cross-platform editing or that every transient view detail is embedded in the file.
A Share Link lets someone reopen service-backed Journey state later. It supports asynchronous continuation without requiring both people to be present, but it should not be read as a promise that every transient screen detail or gesture is reproduced exactly.
SharePlay Beta supports live co-exploration over FaceTime. Talk while you browse, compare what catches your attention, and let the conversation become part of discovery. Session start or end can occasionally be unreliable, which is why the feature remains visibly Beta.
Gary and I spent an hour moving through radios from his childhood. We were not simply evaluating listings; one object led to another story. Spatial context made it easier to remember what we had seen, while the conversation made discovery a shared memory.
